Why chosse STARS EV Drive System:


In a battery power vehicle, we also call the EV, the term powertrain or drive system describes the main components that generate power and deliver it to the road surface. In this powertrain or drive system it includes the battery, electric motor, motor controller, and transmission axle. In the electric vehicle, the energy from the battery, like lead acid battery, lithium battery. The battery power through the motor controller (or Inverter) to motor. The motor energy through the transmission axle to the road.

In the powertrain or drive system, the motor, motor controller and transmission axle must work very well. That we can do the same thing but use lower energy. Bad drive system, the motor and controller overheat quickly and the vehicle performance badly. It means the efficiency of the drive system is very low.

Today STARS make this work easy. We use our more than 20 years experience to design many different EV drive system to our customer. Each drive system are all after our research and test, we offer the best EV drive system for the electric vehicles. The drive system include the motor control module, traction motor, transmission axle, display, battery charger, throttle. The system can work with any kind of battery, like lead acid battery, lithium battery. Yes, the battery also the most important things of the electric vehicle. Our drive system can work with any kind of battery very well. And also increase the battery life and increase the driving range for each charger. And also we can work with your battery supplier, we can communicate with them to get the best setting of the system.


AC drive system or DC drive system?


Why we suggest use AC motor drive system not use DC motor drive system for the electric tricycle, electric vehicles? OK, few main reasons of this question.

Reason 1 - favorable torque - RPM characteristics providing constant torque for wide range of RPM. The DC motor and AC motor both have nice torque in low speed. But in high speed, the RPM of AC motor can reach more high speed by the motor controller but DC can not.

Reason 2 - no motor brush. Sure, no motor brush it mean more longer life and maintenance free for the motor.

Reason 3 - Fine tuning. DC motor controller can work with different character motors. But it can not optimize the motor performance. Each different AC motor all need fine tuning then can work. It mean the AC motor all need optimize the motor characters.

Reason 4 - Safety. We know the AC motor is three face motor. The controller design is more safe than DC motor controller.

Reason 5 - Temperature tolerance. The AC motor was no permanent magnet inside. The motor have very nice temperature tolerance. And also the different structure design. The DC motor very slow thermal feedback it will cause the cooling problems.


Driving experience:


For years DC motor drive systems (series motor, BLC motor) have been successfully used in many EVs, especially small types. BLDC motor has noise and mot smooth when it start. The AC drive system was design in vector control and sine wave drive. It mean the drive system provide smooth and silent performance for the EV. Trust us!! Once you taste an AC solution though, you won’t go back.
